FPA Concealed Handgun Permit · Initial Course
The Colorado qualification-focused pathway: a full-day course (at least 8 instructional hours) built around what Colorado actually requires for a first-time CHP, including required classroom education, a written assessment, and live-fire qualification, plus FPA instruction on responsible concealed carry. FPA introduces relevant holster and concealment concepts because we consider them valuable, but extensive draw-from-concealment training isn't the focus of this permit-qualification course, and drawing from a holster or concealment is not part of Colorado's scored live-fire qualification. Want dedicated holster, drawing, and concealment skill-building beyond the permit itself? See the NRA CCW · CHP Initial Course, which leads to the same Colorado permit.
